Let’s Take the First Step Together
Change is possible. You don’t have to do it alone, and you don’t have to have it all figured out to take the first step. Together, we’ll work toward a version of life that feels lighter, more manageable, and more aligned with who you truly are.
My approach includes a mix of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused techniques, emotional validation, and accountability.
I hold space for imperfection because healing isn’t about being perfect, it’s about learning, growing, and noticing the wins along the way.
I help people clarify their emotions and find words for feelings they may not have fully recognized, so they can better understand their inner world .
Psychotherapy
The purpose of psychotherapy is to provide an avenue of treatment that goes beyond medication or optimizing neurotransmitters. Psychotherapy is used to help rework those negative thoughts, analyze the history of why, come up with a plan of how to make it better, turn that big voice in the background that says you can't do it into a little voice, and amplify that voice that says you got this. This mode of treatment is also useful for those who want a space to talk freely, say those quiet parts out loud, and be in a judgment-free space.
I use a mixture of therapies, but not limited to cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, emotional validation, accountability, and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) skills. DBT is used to help with some of those very challenging emotional moments to help with emotional regulation.
Medication Management
Medication management is one form of treatment that may be an option for you. Using this modality of treatment involves a collaborative approach with me discussing your concerns, clarifying your desired outcomes, discussing different medication options, appropriate expectations of medication management, and possible side effects. By using this approach, it empowers you to understand why and how medication can help.
Parent Support
Parenting in today's society can be difficult due to the continuous expansion of the internet, integration of AI, advanced electronics in school, and the ever-changing societal structure. The purpose of parent support isn’t to tell you how to parent, nor is it for me to become a 2nd or 3rd parent in your household. Parent support can also provide an avenue of openness for your child to tell you the kind of support they need and for me to help give you the skills to provide that support.
Sometimes we can support our children the way we want to be supported, but we don't always ask them how they want to be supported. Operating from this framework allows for an environment of transparency, accountability, and communication styles that are understood by both parties.
My approach: With kids, I often incorporate DBT skills to support emotional regulation in a way that feels practical and empowering.
Supplements & Nutraceuticals
Supplements and nutraceuticals are used to optimize overall health. Sometimes deficiencies in key nutrients can affect your mood and mental stability. This is used as an adjunct to medication management if needed, but not a substitute. When discussing supplementation options, we will discuss which one may be the best option for you to help optimize not only your body but mental health.
Lifestyle Coaching
This is used to analyze patterns in behavior, track changes in routines, evaluate your everyday environment, and make changes that align with your goals. Medication and supplementation are important, but consistency in routines and being intentional about your behavior is where the most growth happens. It’s not easy, but we can get there together.
Pharmacogenetic Testing
Why is this important? This is a continuously evolving field of research that focuses on how our genes interact with medication. This mode of testing analyzes your genes and compares them to how your body will metabolize or use the medication, informs us on which medications will most likely cause side effects, reveals possible gene variants that prevent medications from performing at their intended level, and more.
Although this will not tell us which medication is the best, it will inform us on where we should start. Pharmacogenetic testing can prevent multiple failed medication trials, side effects, and speed up the timeline of mental health optimization.
